My Fees

My hourly fee rate for all specialisms is between £250 and £450 per hour depending upon the degree of complexity.  However, I do charge a lower rate of £200 per hour for correspondence work.  VAT is NOT chargeable on the fee, which again provides a considerable saving.

I am more than prepared to quote a Fixed Fee for the entire piece of work or the entire case which can provide a considerable saving and is most certainly going to be cheaper for the client than instructing two lawyers and/or a solicitor solely.  Again, VAT is not chargeable.

Please Note: Court hearing fees may require an uplift with reference to expenses, dependent on court location, travel time and costs.  These fees are correct as at January 2021 but are ‘estimates only’ and fees are always negotiable.

A quotation for all types of work can always be provided upon request.

TIMESCALES

To the entirely reasonable question from a client “How long is my case going to take to conclude”, the only practical answer really is ‘How long is a piece of string?’.  The timescale applicable to any given case is likely to be influenced by the following factors: the complexity of the case; the amount of papers to be reviewed; the need for additional information or documents; the availability of the client or a relevant third party; the approach taken by the opposing side; whether third parties are involved in the case; and Court waiting times.  The latter is probably the most relevant factor in the present legal climate given that there is an extensive backlog of cases in many Courts, Civil as well as Criminal.  Therefore, it is very difficult to give an accurate timescale for a case, although I will always endeavour to try and assess the likely timescale.
